Dark comedy horror The Menu, starring Ralph Fiennes, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nicholas Hoult, was released in theaters on November 18. The film tells the story of an exclusive secluded restaurant of high standard that is stuffed with strange mysteries and secrets.


In the movie, Hoult plays the character Tyler, who admires the owner of the restaurant and chef, Julian Slowik. But the actor has been around for a while, considering his recognition came fairly early with the 2002 Hugh Grant comedy-drama, About a Boy. Since then, Hoult has starred in both independent features and big-budget blockbusters, finding success in most of them. At only 32, his filmography is already filled with some of the best movies of the last 20 years.

A film full of charismatic and charming actors besides Hoult, the movie stars Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson, another actor who has portrayed some of the greatest characters in recent years. Hoult portrays Matt Steiner, a man who posed as the face of the operation and the front of the company in meetings. The three leading performances are the highlight of The Banker, as each actor makes their character compelling, interesting, and easy to root for.

In the movie, Hoult portrays Robert Harley, a character that doesn’t want to aid Sarah in her efforts to control the country’s fate. Hoult’s impressive acting skills got him the role of Peter III in the satirical Hulu TV series The Great by the writer of the movie and the TV show, Tony McNamara.
