Responsibilities
This is a temporary position that has been approved for 6 months.
Employees working in the Restorative Aid role will focus on tasks including ambulating patients and addressing active and passive range of motion needs.
Description of if unit they may be hired to:
Do2D
39 bed general care medical neurology unit caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions.
Do3D
39 bed general care medical unit caring for adult patients with acute illness and specializes in cardiac monitoring for patients with underlying cardiac dysfunction.
Do4D
39 bed general care medical unit caring for adult patients with acute illness and specializes in end-of-life care.
Performs various clerical, electronic and customer service duties to facilitate flow of patients in the department. Answers phones, assists with patient transfers, transports patients via wheelchair or cart, and performs other support duties.
Qualifications
Requires a H.S. diploma or G.E.D.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong Preference for candidates currently enrolled in a Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Program.
Requires positive communication and interpersonal skills.Must demonstrate self-motivation and flexibility to change duties as needed. Must be highly organized, efficient, multifunctional with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Computer experience helpful. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, which may include weekend days and evenings, evenings during the week and holidays at various locations.
License or Certification:
CPR certified or can be obtained during Orientation.
