The OnePlus 11 offers great performance at an affordable price, but how long does its battery last? Here is what you should know before you purchase.

The OnePlus 11 comes with top-of-the-line hardware, but does it have enough juice to last an entire day of typical usage? With a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and a versatile triple-camera system, the OnePlus 11 is easy to recommend. However, key factors that might tip the scale for potential buyers are the total battery capacity, effective battery life, and charging speed of the OnePlus 11. Can the $699 flagship’s battery last long enough to beat other popular and competing flagships that are available? Let’s find out.

The OnePlus 11 features a 5,000 mAh dual-cell battery, the same as the OnePlus 10 Pro. Instead of packing one large battery, the OnePlus 11 has two 2,500 mAh battery cells. Although the company hasn’t rated the smartphone to last for a specific duration, users should expect the phone to manage more than a day of battery life with moderate usage. Several publications that have conducted in-depth battery tests of the OnePlus 11 have found that the device outlasts the iPhone 14 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The OnePlus 11 Charges Fast

However, that is not the most exciting part about the OnePlus 11’s 5,000 mAh battery. The phone comes with superfast charging capabilities, with 100W charging in other markets, while in the U.S., the OnePlus 11 supports up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging (with Smart Rapid Charging Mode enabled). Although the company claims a complete charge takes 27 minutes, users should expect their OnePlus 11 to charge from zero to a hundred in about 30 to 40 minutes in real life, which is still great considering that the $999 iPhone 14 Pro takes about two hours for a full charge.

OnePlus mentions that the 80W SUPERVOOC charging technology on the OnePlus 11 continuously repairs itself “during high voltage fast charging.” Interestingly, the phone supports charging at zero degrees Celsius, which means the battery is built to function and charge in extreme weather conditions. The company is also promising that OnePlus 11’s battery capacity won’t fall under 80 percent in four years, which is reassuring. The phone also regulates charging speed in real-time to maintain optimum battery life and performance. However, the phone doesn’t support wireless charging.

OnePlus has been using the dual-cell battery tech for quite some time. For instance, the OnePlus 8T had a dual-cell 4,500 mAh battery, i.e., two 2,250 mAh battery cells that charged simultaneously. Overall, if one compares the OnePlus 11 with other flagships that cost even $100 or $500 more, the phone offers a better battery life and faster charging speed, making it a no-brainer for both regular and power users.
