RuPaul’s Drag Race 15 will feature the first set of twins to compete. Here is everything to know about the glamorous contestants, Sugar and Spice.
When the RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 cast was announced, it featured the largest group in the show’s “herstory,” and it’s time to share facts about two of the queens, Sugar and Spice (Luca and Copper Coyle). During the announcement, fans found out that 16 queens would be competing to become “America’s Next Drag Superstar,” and vying for a bigger cash prize of $200,000. However, aside from having the most extensive cast, Drag Race is featuring the first-ever twin contestants to compete in the series.
Sugar and Spice were announced as two of the 16 contestants competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15, making this the first time that siblings have participated in the show. The Los Angeles-based queens are also the first twins to compete in any series in the Drag Race franchise. For those who do not know much about the Drag Race duo, there are plenty of things to learn about Sugar and Spice.
Sugar & Spice Are TikTok Sensations
Some viewers may have recognized the twins after they were announced as competing queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race 15. That’s because Sugar and Spice, 23, have a massive TikTok following of 7.4 million. The twins post mostly transformation videos on their account, and viewers seem to love their content, as they always ask for more. Sugar and Spice also sometimes appear out of drag on their TikTok account, although that is a rare occurrence. They are on Instagram, at @callmespice.
Where Do The RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 Stars Live?
Despite currently residing in Los Angeles, the twin RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 queen are not originally from there. In fact, Sugar and Spice are from Long Island, New York. However, it’s unclear how long they spent there prior to moving to LA. They very well could have moved to LA to achieve their Drag Race ambitions, as Hollywood offers so many opportunities to those who want to succeed in the entertainment industry.
Many viewers are excited to see what the twins will bring to the Drag Race competition, and are rooting for them to do well. A lot of fans hope that RuPaul Charles will have the pair lip-sync against each other, when the exciting reality competition begins airing. For now, viewers will just have to tune in each week to see how Sugar and Spice do, as they compete against 14 other Drag Race queens in the competition. Maybe “herstory” will be made in more ways during the new installment. One thing for certain, which is the fact that viewers can’t wait to see what these queens bring to the competition. Are either of them (or both of them) new Drag Race lip-sync assassins in the making?
