To unlock Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell, players must go on an extensive hunting trip at the icy lake on Mt. Moonspell.
Resembling the combination of a mangy gremlin and a Ninja Turtle, Gav’Et-Oni is a playable character featured in the Legacy of the Moonspell of Vampire Survivors. Gav’Et-Oni’s starting weapon is Mille Bolle Blu, an armament that functions similarly to the Magic Wand by firing projectiles at the nearest enemy target. However, the primary difference is that the Mille Bolle Blu’s bubbles linger on the round after striking an enemy, dealing bonus damage to those who cross over the affected area. This weapon can be evolved into the Boo Roo Boolle by reaching max level alongside the Spellbinder, a Passive Item unlocked by attaining Level 7 with the Runetracer.
Unlike McCoy-Oni, whose obtainment process is tied to a complex series of weapon evolutions, Gav’Et-Oni is unlocked after players manage to kill a total of 6,000 Kappas in Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell. Not to be confused with the Twitch emote used across the internet, the Kappa is a DLC enemy mob that is said to be a “slimy bottom-feeder of the yokai world.” Those familiar with Japanese folklore might recognize this creature as a demonic entity that lures and drowns humans in lakes.
Unlocking Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors DLC
Staying true to the folklore, Kappas will primarily spawn around the frozen lake landmark on Mt. Moonspell in Vampire Survivors. According to YouTube content creator Nuzzy, this icy lake can be found in the northwestern corner of the Vampire Survivors stage’s map, near the Attractorb’s spawning point. If players travel to this location and stand near the lake’s center, hordes of Kappas will begin to spawn and attack. As noted above, the subsequent goal is to slay 6,000 Kappas to unlock Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors. Luckily, this feat does not need to be performed in a single run. Instead, casual players can stretch this objective over multiple runs if they are not in a hurry.
On the other hand, those looking to unlock and play as Gav’Et-Oni as soon as possible in the Vampire Survivors DLC are encouraged to equip Four Seasons, the starting weapon of Menya Moonspell. For those unfamiliar with Menya, they are a playable character unlocked by evolving Miang’s starting weapon, Silver Wind.
Using the Silent Old Sanctuary Arcana, fans should proceed to farm enemies and evolve Four Seasons by combining the weapon with Candelabrador and Spinach at max level. The result is Godai Shuffle, an extremely overpowered weapon that can instantly wipe screens of Kappas within seconds. With this armament, killing 6,000 Kappas and unlocking Gav’Et-Oni in Vampire Survivors is practically effortless.
