However, players have a better chance of solving the puzzle as it is the name of a ubiquitous fruit. While many five-letter fruit names feature a repeating letter, many might still find the puzzle challenging to solve. Since Wordle does not give any additional clues for letters that are being repeated, it often causes players to waste their attempts on random guesses.
To avoid wasting attempts on random guesses, players can use Wordle’s hard mode, as it prevents players from using confirmed letters in random spots. Due to this rule, players are forced to use words that feature confirmed letters in the same spot, forcing players to think of words they normally wouldn’t use. However, if players are short of time and are in a hurry, they can quickly solve today’s puzzle using relevant hints.
