Married At First Sight season 15 introduced five new couples when the series returned in July 2022, and the newlyweds brought more drama than ever. Since MAFS debuted in 2014, dozens of couples have been matched by a panel of experts, including the longstanding figures Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson. Although MAFS has expanded into several spin-offs, such as Married at First Sight: Couples Cam, the series doesn’t boast a high success rate.

While MAFS season 13 ended with each couple getting divorced, the following season fared slightly better. MAFS season 15’s predecessor, which ended in May 2022, featured five couples from Boston looking for love. While four couples agreed to stay married on Decision Day, Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette’s tumultuous union practically ended before the duo even went on their honeymoon. While several MAFS stars have become fan favorites, others, like Alyssa, haven’t been received the same way. Whether they treat their partner badly or aren’t 100% committed to the experiment, it is disappointing to watch participants who don’t give their all on the show. Not only did MAFS season 15 include two new relationship experts (Hollywood producer and motivational speaker DeVon Franklin, and Dr. Pia Holec), but for the first time, the show was set on the West Coast.

According to Lifetime, Lindy came to MAFS done with dating and ready to settle down, while Miguel described himself as a “serial monogamist” who was interested in seeing if he could find true love by being matched with a partner. While Lindy and Miguel said yes on Decision Day, the two announced their divorce in February 2023.

She joined MAFS hoping that the MAFS experts match her with the perfect partner. Los Angeles native Mitch, on the other hand, had trouble maintaining long-term relationships thought out his adult life. Mitch was interested in finding the right partner, but as his parents divorced when he was a toddler, he’s afraid of following in their footsteps. Although this pair comes from completely different backgrounds, Krysten and Mitch were hoping they could form solid connections with others through MAFS. On Decision Day, Krysten and Mitch decided to end their relationship.

Although Alexis has never made it down the aisle until agreeing to be matched on MAFS, Lifetime credited Alexis’ inability to settle down to her strong personality, which is described as “authentic” and “self-aware.” As for Justin, he was raised by a single mother and considers himself an optimist who is quick to give instead of take. Alexis came to MAFS ready to commit, and Justin was prepared to step up to be the best husband and partner he could be. However, Justin and Alexis ended their relationship 12 hours after saying yes on Decision Day.

Stacia & Nate

Stacia was more than ready to be married before MAFS but was also fully aware of her pickiness with potential partners. Regardless of her high standards, Stacia thought MAFS’ unique experiment correlated well with her free-spirited personality. Nate, who’s originally from Las Vegas, was also raised by a single parent, his father. Like his busy career in the stock market, Lifetime said that Nate described finding the perfect wife as “intentional high-risk, high-reward.” While Stacia has struggled to settle down due to her standards, Nate has struggled to meet partners who understand his ambitious lifestyle and goals. However, Stacia and Nate ended their relationship in December 2022.

Binh, described by Lifetime as being in “the best physical and mental shape of his life,” was looking to settle down with Morgan and hopefully start a family. Unlike some previous stars like Alyssa from MAFS season 14, Binh had complete faith in the matchmaking process, as his parents also fell in love at first sight. Morgan was equally ready to trust the MAFS experts and settle down with the right partner, crediting her nursing job for helping her remain flexible. Although they appeared well-matched at first, Morgan and Binh ended their relationship.
